Spiced Up Apple Crumb Pie

Bake Time: 70 minutes
Ingredients:
1 frozen or homemade pie crust
Topping:
1 cup flour
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup butter, softened
 
Filling:
8 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
½ teaspoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon lemon zest
1/3 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons Cherry Apple Chutney
 
 
1.Pre-heat oven to 450F. Mix all of the topping ingredients until combined and crumbly.
2.Toss sliced apples and remaining filling ingredients until apple are evenly coated.
3.Lay pie crust into pie pan and layer apples evenly. Spread toping until apples are covered.
4.Bake at 450F for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350F and continue to bake for 45-55 minutes. If top starts to brown to early place a piece of foil over the top to prevent burning.
