Southern Belle Cheese Ball

Need an impressive dish at the work pot luck?  Want to give a gift but can't decide what they want or need?   This cheese ball s quick and easy to make but will keep everyone talking long after the event is over.  This dish features Fischer and Wieser’s Old Fashioned Peach Preserves as a compliment to the three cheeses, green onion and bacon.
1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
½ cup chopped bacon
1 whole green onion, minced
2 tablespoons Tamari
½ to 1 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Place cream cheese, cheddar cheese and parmesan in mixer bowl.  Mix on low speed until all cheeses are combined.  Add chopped bacon, onion and tamari and mix till well blended.  Mixture will begin to form ball.  Turn off and shape into ball by hand using plastic wrap.  Wrap and chill.
In a small saucepan combine, preserves, water and balsamic vinegar.  Heat until simmering, stirring until vinegar and water meld with preserves.  Let cook until peaches are very soft and can be broken apart.  Remove from heat and let cool.
Chop pecans and roll cheese ball until entire surface is covered.  Press firmly so pecans embed into the cheese.  Pour preserves over top of cheese ball and spread to coat evenly.  Chill until ready to serve.  Serve with cracker, peach slices, grapes or berries.
