Mom's Bolognese Slow Simmered Steak

For an easy gourmet entrée, try this slow-simmered Italian offering. The cream and bacon add a sumptuous twist to the Italian spices in this soup. Serve over pasta or rice, with a green salad and Italian bread, and you've got a marvelous gourmet treat! Delizioso!

1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
4 beef cubed steaks, sliced into 1" strips if desired
Salt and pepper to taste
1 24-ounce jar Mom's Limited Edition Bolognese Soup

Melt butter in skillet; add chopped onion, green pepper, sliced seasoned cube steaks. Saute until onions are translucent and steaks are browned, approximately 10 minutes. If desired, place a slow cooker liner in large capacity slow cooker; place browned steak, onions, peppers in liner. Pour Mom's Limited Edition Bolognese Soup over all, and set slow cooker on low, and cook for 8 to 10 hours, or high and cook for 4 to 6 hours, until steak is very tender.

Alternatively, pour Mom's Limited Edition Bolognese Soup over ingredients in skillet. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer. Add water or beef stock 1/4 cup at a time as needed. Simmer 2 hours or until cube steak is tender. Serve over rigotoni pasta or rice, as desired. Serves 4-6.
