Golden Hickory Chicken and Dumplings

Chicken simmered in Hickory & Cracked Black Pepper Mustard Sauce with dumplings added at the last make a hearty meal with an unusual twist!

Prep Time:  20 minutes
Cook Time:  6 hours

4 chicken breasts
1 jar (14 ounce) Fischer & Wieser Hickory & Cracked Black Pepper Mustard Sauce

Dumplings:
1-1/2 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons shortening
3/4 cup milk

Place chicken breasts in slow cooker. Pour Fischer & Wieser Hickory & Cracked Black Pepper Mustard Sauce over. Cover & allow to cook 6 hours. Prepare dumplings by combining flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening with pastry blender or two knives until it resembles coarse meal. Drizzle milk over and combine. Remove chicken from slow cooker & set aside; keep warm. Drop dumplings by teaspoonfuls into simmering sauce in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 20-25 minutes until dumplings are cooked through, fluffy, and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serves 4
