Cherry Balsamic Chipotle Burgers

The marriage of sweet and heat, a tale as old as time. Our sweet, savory Cherry Balsamic Preserves were made for the smoky spice of the chipotle pepper. These burgers are the fairy tale you’ve been waiting for.
1 lb ground beef
½ of one chipotle in adobo
½ tsp sea salt
1 medium onion, sliced thin
1 T butter
1 T olive oil
½ tsp balsamic vinegar
⅛ tsp sea salt
sliced bleu cheese
toasted buns
Heat butter and olive oil over low medium heat, add onions and saute until caramelized. Add salt and balsamic and set aside. Puree chipotle and Fischer and Wieser Cherry Balsamic Preserves in a food processor or blender. Mix ground beef, chipotle cherry sauce and sea salt. Form into 4 burger patties.
Grill burgers. Butter buns and place them on grill to toast the last few minutes. At the same time, place bleu cheese on burgers to soften. Place burger on bun with arugula and caramelized onions. And they lived happily ever after.
